Он также имел большой успех с другими песнями, такими как "Don't Let Go" (1958), считавшаяся классикой рока, "You Can Have Her", "Lips", "A Great Romance", "Time Marches On" и многие другие.

Среди 28 треков в этом сборнике мы выделяем «The Panic Is On», «Crackin 'Up Over You» и «You Shook Me Up» или классику, такую как «The Dark End Of The Street» или «It's Only Make Believe». Кроме того, Рой также участвовал в фильме 1958 года «Давайте рок».

Певец перенес инсульт в 1969 году и умер в возрасте 40 лет.

A new installment in Tiliqua's seemingly never-ending Erotic

Oriental Sunshine series brings you this time the first re-

release of Mabuki Junko's sole recorded artifact Ai no Dorei,

originally released as a cassette-only by Victor Records back

in 1980 as part of their Yoru no Driver series tapes. The

series was designed specifically to target the sexually

frustrated, long-distance trucker demographic in order to

bring them a little erotic aural companionship on those

     grueling overnight hauls.

Junko appeared on the scene of hardcore bondage and S&M flicks

after Tani Naomi had thrown in the towel and with she would be

the last of the big screen porn and S&M stars to emerge during

Japan's Golden Age of Roman Porno. She was especially great in

S&M movies such as Showa Erotica -- Bara no Kifujin, Dan

     Oniroku -- Hakui Nawa-Jigoku and Onna-biyoshi: Nawa-shiiku and

her on screen presence caused Dan Oniroku to dub her as "if

Tani Naomi is the Marilyn Monroe of the SM scene, then Mabuki

     Junko is its Ingrid Bergman".

Junko solely recorded at the height of her short-lived career

the tape Ai no Dorei, which is possibly the most perverted and

sexually deranged recording ever to be released. Ai no Dorei

is built on a lush instrumental carpet of covers of famous

enka tunes, upon which Mabuki Junko rolls and writhes,

enacting hardcore BDSM fantasies, perversions and degenerate

sexual dramas for her lonesome big-rig listeners. The real

draw though is Mabuki Junko's aural evocation of the utterly

perverse and degenerate sexual actions, as she journeys deep

into the depraved depths of hardcore bondage, lesbian S&M,

golden showers, torture, suspension bondage, and master-slave

relationships. A little knowledge of the Japanese language

reveals Ai no Dorei as truly one of the most filthy and

sexually disturbing recordings ever to be released. Mabuki

delivers it all with no lack of conviction.

TAGUCHI KUMI:"TOKYO EMMANUELLE FUJIN ~ Amai Yoru no Tameiki" (TILAR-5006CD)

First time ever legal reissue of this hyper rare 1976 Japanese erotic artifact. Tiliqua Records continues its quest to bring you forgotten erotic gems out of Tokyo's sleazy underbelly. This time, we could secure the legal rights to Taguchi Kumi's sole recorded LP, following her instant fame after starring in some of Nikkatsu's finest Roman Porno celluloid dreams such as "Tokyo Emmanuelle Fujin" (July 1975), ТTokyo Deep Throat FujinУ (1975) and ТAru K™kyћ Callgirl no Sh™gen: RoshutsuУ (June 1976). Compiled out of tracks that appeared in the aforementioned porn flicks, the disc is a stunning artifact and will especially appeal to those who were already enthralled by Ike Reiko's erotic mumblings. Taguchi's effort dwells into similar erogenous eras but is more mid-seventies discoed-down and funked-up. Hot dance floor how-downs spiced up with erotic moaning and hissings. Erotic and sesunsual mid-seventies night clubbing with a psyched feel attached to it, hell Taguchi even ventures in the team of Deep Throat and leaves nothing to the imagination. A release that once again proves that late sixties and early seventies Tokyo was a wicked and perverse place to be. In short it is a stunning and historical Iroke gem of oblivious times, restored to its original state and by doing so we repositioned it into the pantheon of forgotten erotic artifacts. Digital remastered from the original master tapes, original artwork and housed in a heavy duty deluxe mini-LP styled gatefold jacket. Comes with hot obi artwork and illuminating liner notes by Mogura Dan (with translation by Johan Wellens). One time edition limited to 1000 copies.

Fans of French rock will recognize 4 original versions of songs made famous in France in the early sixties. “Makin’ Love” was covered by Johnny Hallyday on his first record as “T’Aimer Follement”. “Boys And Girls” was also a hit by Hallyday, as “Nous Les Gars, Nous Les Filles”. Les Chats Sauvages with Dick Rivers made their version of “For Sentimental Reasons”, which became “Sans Raison”, and “Out Of Gas” was made very famous by Frankie Jordan and Sylvie Vartan as “Panne D’Essence”.

J. Frank Wilson had only one hit, but it was a huge one. With his band the Cavaliers, he brought Wayne Cochran's teen-death melodrama "Last Kiss" to the upper reaches of the American pop charts in the fall of 1964. The song was the last in a long line of teen tragedies that were popular in the U.S. during the early '60s; as a matter of fact, it's a little surprising that a song this excessively melodramatic was a hit at the height of the British Invasion. Wilson might have found it surprising himself -- after all, he sort of lucked into the position of pop star in the first place.

Born in Lufkin, TX, in 1941, Wilson began his professional recording career almost by accident. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Wilson came in contact with the Cavaliers, a rock & roll band led by guitarist Sid Holmes and featuring bassist Lewis Elliott, saxophonist Rob Zeller, and drummer Ray Smith. The Cavaliers had been around since 1955, forming in San Angelo, TX, then moving to Memphis in the early '60s, then returning to San Angelo in 1962. They continued to gig as an instrumental group around their hometown for a while, before being encouraged to add a singer. They heard about Wilson through the grapevine, and after an audition, they had him join.

Wilson helped increase the Cavaliers' audience dramatically. Soon, they were popular attractions at a number of local Texas clubs. At one of these gigs, they earned the attention of Sonley Roush. According to Wayne Janick's interview with Holmes in The Billboard Book of One Hit Wonders, Roush was a "strange man" that lived with his mother. Roush also happened to be obsessed with a song called "Last Kiss," written and recorded by a Georgia blue-eyed soul singer called Wayne Cochran. "Last Kiss" was the tragic tale of a girl who was killed on her first date with her sweetheart. Cochran based the song on a true-life tale of three teenage couples who were killed when their car struck a flatbed logging truck. He recorded the song twice, on the local Gala label and then the national King, but it went nowhere. However, Roush happened to hear it and fell in love with it.

Roush brought "Last Kiss" to the Cavaliers, asked them to learn it and play it. They did whenever he was in the audience. Roush then made a deal with a friend who owned a local studio for the band to record the song. During the recording sessions, Roush acted as producer, which irritated both Holmes and Zeller. Still, they managed to cut "Last Kiss," and then Roush peddled the song to a couple of local labels. Le Cam released it first, then Tamara. It wasn't long before it was picked up by Josie Records for national distribution.

Josie evidently knew just how to promote the record, since it became a huge, unexpected hit. During the fall of 1964, the charts were dominated by the British Invasion, particularly the Beatles, so it was quite a feat for Wilson & the Cavaliers to scale such great heights. Inevitably, such sudden fame caused problems. In particular, Wilson now believed that he was superstar. In Janick's interview, Sid Holmes says that Wilson indulged in "sex, booze, (he was) up all night." Wilson's excesses were so great that the Cavaliers left him behind after just a handful of gigs. Wilson continued to promote the record with a new group of Cavaliers and with Sonley Roush as his manager.

On route to a concert in Canton, OH, that fall, Roush fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in a head-on collision. Roush died immediately and Wilson was injured; when he performed on American Bandstand after the accident, he was in crutches. The car crash was sadly ironic, but it didn't slow Wilson. He and Jose Records assembled a new band, using the name the Cavaliers even though the Cavaliers were carrying on, now with Lewis Elliott as their leader and James Thomas as vocalist. In the studio, Wilson was supported by session musicians. The first fruits of his new efforts was "Hey Little One," a version of a Dorsey Burnette song. It stiffed -- it only reached 85, spending a mere two weeks on the charts.

As it turned out, "Hey Little One" wasn't a bump in the road. It was the end of Wilson's chart success. Although he continued to tour and record throughout the '60s, Wilson made no national impact. He continued recording into the '70s, but by that point he was essentially working day jobs. According to Holmes' interview with Janick, Wilson couldn't come to grips with his status as a one-hit wonder. He ran through eight marriages as he sank into alcoholism. Eventually, all of his fast living caught up with him -- he died October 4, 1991, a few months shy of his 50th birthday.

During all of Wilson's personal troubles, the Cavaliers soldiered on, albeit in two different incarnations. Elliott and Thomas never ceased performing under the Cavaliers name, while Holmes revived the name for 15 years, between 1972 and 1987.

Perhaps the best asset the late Benny Hill had was his hilarious facial expressions, which, of course, are missing on this release (except for the cover artwork). However, the songs on this collection are humorous, and if one couldn't discern the lyrics while Benny sang these songs on his television show, this release might provide clarity and therefore some satisfaction. Nevertheless, Benny Hill is funnier on the telly. ~ Tim Griggs

All songs by Benny Hill except "Yakety Sax" (James Rich/Boots Randolph).

Personnel: Benny Hill (vocals), Mitch Dalton, Lee Fothergill (guitars), B.J. Cole (steel guitar), Sid Sax (violins), Peter Hughes, Roy Willox, Chris Thompson (woodwinds), Derek Watkins, Tony Fisher, D. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s been said that Benny Hill was the most famous comedy artist in the world. His shows were (and, in some cases, still are) regularly screened in over a hundred countries around the globe. Comedian, pop singer, mime, clown … he was one of the most popular funnymen in the last fifty years, a man who also scripted the sketches and composed the musical numbers he performed.

Benny Hill and Thames Television enjoyed twenty years of enormous success with The Benny Hill Show, which was a sketch-comedy series in which Hill would often play multiple characters and satirize popular British and American performers and stars. Common themes in the show were the husband-beating wife, buxom women, and silent, high-speed chase scenes between Hill and the other characters

Hill's show was always chock-full of double entendres, sight gags, cross-dressing, and the scantily-clad beauties "Hill's Angels" that became his stock-in-trade. He also loved using slow-motion, speeded-up motion, and time-lapse sequences. It was with these classic shows of the '70s and '80s that Benny really hit his stride as a comic, and for these shows he will always be remembered.

Although he was to become world famous as the "dirty old man" who leered and cavorted with young women, in his private life, Hill had much less success with the ladies. He definitely liked women, enjoyed their company, and fell very deeply in love. Sadly, he proposed to three different women in his life and was turned down by all three.

According to a few of the beautiful "Hill's Angels," Benny loved taking them out on dates, but never made the first move or even tried to kiss them. Rumors circulated that Benny was gay, which he laughingly denied. The irony of TV's top woman-chaser being suspected as gay is almost too much to believe.

"I use a pretty girl the way Henny Youngman used his violin - as a bridge between one laugh and the next," he said during an interview in the 90's.
